Silica Gel
Silica or silicon dioxide (SiO2) is the same substance found in quartz. Silica gel is the granular (bead) form of silica produced from sodium meta silicate. It is essentially porous sand. The internal structure of each small silica gel granule consists of millions of interconnected microscopic pores. These pores retain and adsorb moisture.

ORANGE SILICA GEL

When it turns orange again, it is ready for use. BLUE SILICAJEL
Blue silica gel has cobalt chloride, which allows it to change its colour to pink when it reaches its maximum adsorption capacity. Once pink, it can be reactivated with heat to dry out moisture. When it turns blue again, it is ready for use. Do not use blue silica gel around food as cobalt chloride is toxic. It is generally preferred in the protection of firearms, works of art, camera photographic equipment and films, automotive industry, optical instruments, computers and accessories, transformers and electronic products, tank storage areas.
TRANSPARENT SILICONE GEL
Transparent silica gel is a non-indicator and non-toxic silica gel. This means that when the silica gel absorbs moisture, it will continue to be white. This type of silica gel is widely sold in bulk as well as in small packaged packages.
