TERADRY: reduces ambient humidity by rapidly removing moisture from the ambient air to protect products from damaging factors known as “container rain”, “container sweat” or “cargo sweat”.
In overseas shipments made with containers, due to the high temperature change between day and night in the sea environment with high humidity and chlorine content, intense humidity condenses in the container and the event we call container rain occurs.
This intensely wet event continues throughout the shipment and both your product and packaging, and most importantly your company image are badly affected. For this reason, it is strongly recommended to be used in all overseas shipments.
WHY USE IT?
Container desiccant, silica gel In long-distance container transports, weather conditions fluctuate, causing the temperature inside the containers to rise and fall. These fluctuations in temperature play a role in the formation of condensation, which can cause the so-called “container rain”. With humidity, metals discolour and lose their luster; packaging becomes mouldy, soft, crumbly and discoloured, reducing packaging durability and increasing the risk of damage; foul odours come into contact with the product and cause off-flavours in some products; bulk bagged foods develop caking, adhesion and spoilage; and cortrosion and moulds develop, causing damage to all products. Such damage can cause great losses and costs.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
TERADRY dehumidifier, container desiccant, silica gel starts to absorb the moisture in the environment after it is removed from the transparent Pe packaging. Once placed in the container, when the humidity inside starts to rise, it immediately starts to absorb moisture from the surrounding air. It reduces the temperature that causes container rain and keeps the cargo safe and dry.
Thus, depending on the amount of dehumidifier used during container transport, your products are protected against corrosion, wetting and moisture damage during the journey.
APPLICATION AREAS
TERADRY products precisely remove ambient humidity and prevent container rain from damaging the transported goods.
This application is highly effective in preventing mould, corrosion, caking and other moisture damage to agricultural products, electronic goods, unpackaged foodstuffs, wooden products, glass, furniture, car parts, leather goods, machinery and metal components.
TECHNICAL PERFORMANCE, SAFETY AND USE
Technical Performance: TERADRY can absorb 3 times its own volume of moisture, which corresponds to 300% in a pen environment. As it takes in the humidity and humid air in the environment, TERADRY in its special breathing package inflates and stops taking moisture when the bag is full. TERADRY does not work if there is no humidity in the environment, the bag does not inflate until the humidity occurs again. It absorbs the moisture it takes in and never leaves it out.
Usage : Thanks to the hanging package, it is possible to hang it on the hooks in the container or if there is no free space on the sides of the container, it is possible to distribute the strapless package evenly into the container with the “written side” upwards.
Recommendation for use:
30 packs of 1000 grams for 40 containers
15 packs of 1000 grams for 20 containers.
Safety: Do not use punctured and torn packages. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of water and do not swallow.
